When our Senior Systems Administrator recently made a guest appearance at Logic’s weekly sales meeting to give us an overview of our expanded IT support, he made this ominous statement, “Clients don’t want to find out that they need this.”  In this context, “finding out” means that at minimum you’ve lost valuable time and data; at worst, you’re out of business. 



Sensing that there was a juicy story behind the remark, I sent Marc a “do tell!” email immediately following the meeting.  Seconds after I pressed “send” I inexplicably heard the theme from Jaws playing, and then he appeared at my desk and said plainly, “You would be horrified if you knew the things I know how to do.” 



Marc’s foreboding demeanor was fitting, since I often joke with him that I believe his job involves wielding powerful magic that makes computers work. While I am busy in a Marketing Director’s creative world of words and graphics, he (and many other fine engineering minds at Logic) is hard at work herding dragons…or something.*
