Consulting

Optional Pay-Per-Click and Other Paid Submissions Services Logic Solutions can help you wade through the many new options in paid submissions to best use your search engine registration budget.

Paid Placement Listings
Many search engines carry paid placement listings that are usually segregated from editorial results and labeled to highlight that they are ads. The exact position of the paid placement listings can vary. Sometimes, they appear above editorial links. Other times, they appear at the bottom of editorial content. "Sidebar" style usually runs ads in a column to the right of a search engine's editorial listings.

We generally use the term "paid placement" to describe ads that guarantee placement, but you may hear others refer to these using different names, such as "pay for placement," "pay for performance," "CPC listings" (for
cost-per-click) and "PPC listings" (for pay per click). The last two terms indicate paid listings where advertisers only pay if someone clicks on their ads.

Google Ad Words
Advertisers pay a $5 set up fee, then set an amount to pay per click that can range from $.05 to $100. You set the limits on how much you are willing to pay per click and set a daily limit that fits within your advertising budget, while at the same time ensuring your ad will be seen. Rankings depend on the amount your competitors bid per click. Campaigns can be targeted by language, and geographic location and are customized for individual web sites, marketing campaigns and other specific needs.

Yahoo Sponsor Listings
In addition to the $299 Yahoo annual fee to submit a URL to the Yahoo Directory, advertisers pay $50 - $300 per month for enhanced site listing in
commercial categories. Pricing varies by category. Yahoo guarantees placement within 5 days of submission and also highlights your listing in the regular alphabetic list of sites.

Logic offers the following services on a time and materials basis.

bullet Basic review of your site, including the home page and second-level pages that link from the homepage
bullet Keywords help with determining topics for key words and phrases

Search Engine Reporting Services

Logic Solutions offers search engine specialty reports. The Advanced Web Ranking Report shows your URL and
keywords and the rankings for each of the major search engines.

Our reports show current rank and the top sites using easy to read, intuitive tables. The URLs are shown in colors for easy differentiation between your websites and your competitor's. Three reports are available:

Overview Report
This one page report shows each of the twenty keywords and their ranking on the top 20 search engines at a glance.
Detail Report This comprehensive report details the top 25 URLs for each keyword and search engine.

Comparison Report
This tracking report shows the ranking of each keyword and URL by search engine for the current report and the previous report. It also compares these results with the best results historically.

Note: Search engine positioning is an ongoing process important to making your site accessible within your marketplace over time. The results are not instant, nor are they subject to our direct control. Some sites accept submissions within two weeks of submission or less; others take longer to be effective. Search sites receive hundreds of thousands of submissions and they each have their own methods of handling them. Logic's search specialists work to monitor and continuously improve results within the ethical guidelines the industry is continuously setting for making web pages friendly to search engines. Both as a matter of principle, and because in the long run it's not effective, we don't use techniques that the search sites have or will rule as out-of-bounds. Some search sites, including Yahoo, now charge a fee with all commercial site submissions. Logic's search engine positioning fees are in addition to any direct fees charged by the sites.
