Logic Solutions teams with Ford Motor Company to launch new Leadership Development Center website.
Logic Solutions produced a Ford Motor Company intranet site dedicated to developing leaders at every level in the company. The site is the electronic home of the Leadership Development Center.
The site serves as a primary web portal for leadership development; it is open to all Ford Motor Company employees. A home site, linked to a series of sub-sites, serves as a virtual center for communicating the business results generated by the Leadership Development Center’s nine main programs. Program participants visit specific program sites to obtain information and work collaboratively with other participants.
Writers, information architects, and designers from Logic Solutions worked with the Leadership Development Center program leaders to plan and build the interactive site to meets the needs of target audiences and to perform well within the company’s global IT environment. Because the Leadership Development Center promotes collaborative work technologies, Logic Solutions created a series of self-paced e-tool introductions and tutorials. Other progressive Internet technologies, including Flash animation and DHTML dynamic menus and sliding taskbars, provide attractive and user-friendly ways to communicate relevant tips for enhancing leadership.
LDC program participants and other visitors to the site can learn about the Ford Leadership Behaviors, how total leadership promotes integration of work and life, and how leadership drives business results. They also contribute to opinion surveys and provide other feedback. Future enhancements planned for the LDC web site include allowing for access from outside the company, to Ford Motor Company suppliers and other parties. Enhancements are also planned for e-learning features.
"Logic Solutions has been proud to work with Ford Motor Company on this innovative site," said Jimmy Hsiao, CEO of Logic Solutions, Inc. "Our team of designers, business analysts, writers, programmers, and project managers learned a lot about leadership while working with Ford Motor Company on this project. We congratulate the Leadership Development Center for having the vision to launch such an exciting and inspiring virtual community for company employees." |
