University of Michigan School of Public Health enhances leadership role with new website.
The University of Michigan School of Public Health's a comprehensive website, provides easy access to information about the school and its renowned academic and research programs. It supports the school’s mission “to create and disseminate knowledge with the aim to prevent disease and promote the health of populations in the United States and worldwide.”
Logic developed the site to help facilitate communication with students, alumni, community partners, and all other key audiences—including the news media. To keep information current, the site incorporates the Website Management Suite tools from Logic Solutions, so that non-technical school personnel can update timely content areas instantaneously from their desktop computers.
“This was a school-wide effort, and we are pleased with the result,” says Terri Weinstein Mellow, director of development and external relations at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. “The home page brings you inside this school, both visually and through the text. The breadth of public health—from social science to 'bench' science—is visible. And it takes only one click to get from the home page to vital public health issues such as current tobacco policy, women's health, health insurance policy, bioterrorism, and asthma, to name just a few.”
Featured sections of the site include:
“Meet the People of UM SPH,” with short profiles of students, faculty, and alumni |
“Careers & Networking,” with job postings and other networking services for alumni, current students, and employers |
