Business Process Outsourcing: Is China the New India?
Most people think of China as the world’s manufacturer and India as the world’s back office, since India has led in performing outsourced tasks such as call centers, payroll and accounting and human resources since the 1990s.
However, that perception may be changing in the next few years. China’s 40-50% lower wage rates and large educated population has led to a 41% growth in BPO in 2006, according to India’s IT chamber of commerce NASSCOM. Currently a total market of $1.4 billion, Offshoring Times expects China’s BPO to grow to $5.5-6.3 billion by 2010.
Logic Solutions’ offices in Beijing and Shanghai specialize in outsourced IT services such as software development and call center/help desks. Our customers include EDI eCommerce software vendors, Internet promotions companies, PLM software vendors, Automotive applications vendors and more!
