The following infographic detailing mobile statistics caught my eye last week so I posted it to the company’s LinkedIn page. However, the information present is critical to understanding the significance of mobile to businesses. “Companies without a mobile strategy are driving business to their competitors.”
I want to highlight three of the key findings presented in the infographic (all information and quotes are derived from the infographic). Feel free to click on the image and dive in further.
1. 79% of smartphone owners use their device to make or influence a buying decision. 74% make a purchase as a result.
2. 61% of customers who visit a mobile unfriendly site are likely to go to a competitor’s site.
3. 72% of buyers expect you to have a mobile-friendly website.
A mobile optimized site is expected by your company’s consumers and results in increased profits. Mobile devices including smartphones and tablets are out-selling PCs by a 2-to-1 margin. It’s clear that businesses who fail to adopt a mobile mentality will fall behind. Evolve your 2013 strategy to include a mobile strategy and provide your consumers with the best service possible.
