CLIENT BACKGROUND
Communities In Schools of San Antonio (CIS-SA) is a network of professionals working in public schools to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. As part of a national program, the San Antonio affiliate was founded in 1985 and currently spans over 80 school campuses (K-12) where their staff are dedicated to keeping kids in school. CIS-SA works directly on campus to provide students with resources by partnering with local businesses, social service agencies, health care providers, and volunteers. The program offers counseling, academic assistance, positive role models, and more.
THE PROBLEM
CIS-SA’s old website featured a dated design that was not prepared for modern users or modern technology (e.g. mobile devices).

THE SOLUTION
Logic Solutions helped CIS-SA migrate their old site from Joomla to WordPress with a responsive theme and designed a fresh, clean, modern look and feel. The new website features a mega menu with eye-catching images, large homepage slider that showcases the organization’s videos and achievements, and prominent Calls To Action on every page encouraging site visitors to follow CIS-SA on social media and sign up for newsletters.
A pop-up with information on time sensitive events appears when a visitor first hits the site. The home page also includes a list of upcoming events and recent tweets from CIS-SA’s Twitter account. Success stories of children who have benefited from CIS-SA are featured, showcasing the positive impact the organization has on its community and in individual lives.
Additionally, CIS-SA now has a donation page that integrates with Little Green Light, a donation management CRM. Site visitors can securely make donations and support the organization’s impactful work.
