CLIENT BACKGROUND

Genisys Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in Michigan and provides the highest ratings for safety and soundness to over 128,000 members nationwide with quality service. Genisys is headquartered in Auburn Hills, MI and is one of the country’s strongest financial Institutions with over $1.4 billion in assets.


THE PROBLEM

Genisys Credit Union (Genisys) approached Logic Solutions with the desire to create a mobile banking app. Genisys’ market research identified that mobile banking has become an influential factor for customers choosing between financial institutions and that offering an app to their own customers would be critical to staying competitive in the marketplace. A mobile banking app must be developed with security as the foremost concern. Genisys consistently receives BauerFinancial’s five-star rating for financial safety and soundness (the highest rating obtainable), and their customers must feel safe accessing their bank accounts via mobile technology.  In sum, Logic was tasked to:

  • Launch a fully functional mobile banking app
  • Design new features that elevate the app against its competitors
  • Construct the code with the highest level of security and encryption

THE SOLUTION

Logic Solutions approached the challenge by architecting a mobile software app fully compliant with financial security regulations: the app is fully encrypted and equipped to prevent unauthorized access so the user can feel safe whether they are banking on their iPad or iPhone.

Genisys is elevated above its competitors by a batch of features that make Genisys Mobile Banking standout from generic banking apps. Not only does the app include basic features such as secure account viewing, ATM/branch locator, and loan & savings calculators, but it also incorporates remote check deposit by photograph, and monetary transfer between accounts.
